J. Alex Zimmerman is an attorney with offices located in North Vernon, Indiana, and is admitted to practice in all Indiana courts. Alex serves his community as Indiana State Representative for House District 67, representing portions of Decatur, Jefferson, Jennings, and Ripley counties in Southeast Indiana.

Alex graduated from Franklin College in 2015 with a B.A. in Political Science with a Pre-Law Endorsement. He then attended Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, graduating in May 2020 with his J.D. and earning a Graduate Certificate in Criminal Law.
Before opening his law practice, Alex worked full-time for the Indiana Senate Majority Caucus from December 2014 through November 2020, beginning as an intern and rising to the position of Deputy Majority Attorney. Alex juggled a full-time job with law school in the evening. As the Senate's Deputy Majority Attorney, Alex advised the caucus on a number of legislative issues, including criminal law, election law, and local government law. Alex also assisted the caucus on human resource issues, including unemployment and worker's compensation and employee handbook matters, and Indiana Access to Public Records Act and Open Door Law issues.
